The young theatre maker Rosie Sommers (°1995), a graduate of KASK, worked until 2022 in Volksroom, an off-space for performance art (Anderlecht, Brussels) and is active in the music scene with the girl band, Forsissies. Rosie has worked with theatre makers like Thomas Ryckewaert, Bosse Provoost, Amanda Piña, Phoebe Berglund, Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe, Gaël Santisteva, Nathan Ooms, Anna Franziska Jaeger, Micha Goldberg, Sophia Rodríguez, Tomas Gonzalez and Igor Cardellini. She participated in Nightshift at the TAZ festival in the summer of 2022 in Oostende, where she worked with Micha Goldberg on the production GERMAN STAATSTHEATER (premiering in February 2024) and on her solo show, The Naked Traveller. In 2023, she is creating Tantra for Beginners, followed in 2024 by working with Nathan Ooms and Anna Franziska Jäger for a theatre production in collaboration with CAMPO.

The Norwegian performer and theatre maker Micha Goldberg (°1983) studied Physical Theatre at the Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Switzerland and earned his Master’s in Theatre at RITCS (2013, Brussels). His graduation show, CONFETTI, was presented in Belgium and abroad. This was followed in 2014 by The Garden Laboratorium and The Primal Money Scream, in collaboration with performer Sophia Rodriguez, his partner in life. In 2016, Goldberg founded Micha’s Amateur Theater Group (for professionals). 

Like Rodriguez, Micha Goldberg worked in Volksroom for some years. The activities there led to a lauded initiative headed up by Simon Van Schuylenbergh, Ne Mosquito Pas, a collection of some 40 solo performances of shameless situations revolving around failure. It was this experience, among other things, that led to the idea for GERMAN STAATSTHEATER. 

In the Atelier at Toneelhuis, they are working on the show GERMAN STAATSTHEATER, which will be shown at the Bourla on 24 February 2024.
