BABY is a tender and radical performance about beginning – even when you don’t know if you’ll begin, or exactly what you’ll begin. What if you have a baby, or choose not to? What does ‘having’ mean in a world that wants to produce ever more, and in doing so seems to be destroying itself? How many parents can a baby have?

Following their acclaimed production TWO. is not a solo, musicians Hendrik Lasure and Lisa Verbelen have once again joined forces to create a performance that transcends the boundaries between a music concert and a theatre production. As we think, ponder and feel, we journey from the Amazon rainforest to an office tower, from the centre of the earth to the heart of a romantic relationship: everything exists simultaneously and influences one another.

BABY is an honest and poetic duet about queer parenthood, the heart of love and life on a planet in crisis. No grand drama, but an ode to the everyday, to staying put, to daring to desire and to expanding the imagination.
