Our hearts bleed for the sake of the many innocent lives lost in Gaza and Israel in recent weeks.

We condemn both Hamas’ terroristic attack in Israel and the State of Israel’s extreme violence in Gaza. We condemn the policy of terror that Hamas carries out against its own people in Gaza. And we condemn the present far-right Israeli government that is not open to dialogue of any kind.

We call for responsibility and restraint, an immediate cease-fire and unconditional protection of innocent civilians. We appeal to the Belgian government and to the European Union to exert all of their diplomacy and influence in the region to put a stop to this violence.
