Janssens is joined by two gentlemen who are all too familiar with the theme of censorship and the resulting immobility and isolation: film and theatre-maker Sabri Saad el Hamus who swapped the turbulent Egypt for the Netherlands, and director and Toneelhuis-maker Mokhallad Rasem, who has lived and worked in Belgium for six years because of the war in Iraq. Rasem compares physical or mental imprisonment to “a woman who is due to give birth but is not allowed to.”
