All the contemporary art forms are covered, from installations through sculptures to photography so that passers-by get to see a good cross-section of what today’s art scene has to offer.
Those taking part in the first edition include Oscar Hugal, Pol Matthé, Rinus Van de Velde, Guy Rombouts, Frederik Lizen, Timo Van Grinsven, Rufus Michielsen, Bram Van Bree, Lenny Wuyts, Neel De Bruycker, Frederic Verlinden, Benjamin Verdonck, Sharon Van Overmeiren, Amber Vanluffelen and Bram Van Meervelde.
By presenting art in the public space, the ‘Openbaar Museum’ - or Public Museum - is looking to make art accessible to everyone. Chance passers-by, local residents, patrons of the arts and other interested parties are more than welcome to come and take a look.
