Following their BROKEBACK SHITSHOW, Louis Verlinde and Gina Beuk are joining forces once again for a new SHITSHOW.
With SHITSHOW 2 (your shit is our show), Verlinde and Beuk explore the crossover between fashion show and a theatrical radio show.
SHITSHOW 2 explores the improbable multiplicity of this world and examines the catwalk as a theatrical space. The show thematises ways of living/surviving and dealing with that multiplicity, in order to sketch a picture of our times in an almost anthropological way. A catwalk performance that cannot choose between order and chaos, between beauty and trash, between into the wild and into the city.
For this shitshow, Gina and Louis are collaborating with the theatre costume department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp.

The trashy quality of BROKEBACK SHITSHOW is as amusing as it is unsettling. (...) Louis and Gina seem to be making fun of the high-pace entertainment of today which is made with only one goal in mind: it must sell. It’s a great, sneakily entertaining parody, but it precariously balances on the edge of what it parodies.
