BOURLA THEATRE

The Bourla is a classic nineteenth-century hall, a historic venue for contemporary performing arts, in the heart of the city on Comedy Place.  

In 2025, the restoration of the Bourla Theatre will begin and Toneelhuis will leave its familiar spot. The artistic activities of Toneelhuis will not stop there, of course, but will largely take place at other locations in the city. For this restoration, Toneelhuis has drawn up a global vision, a master plan, with respect for the historical heritage. It will be financed by both the City of Antwerp and Flanders.
