De fietsendief

Bart Van Nuffelen, Toneelhuis, Martha!tentatief, Zuidpool

Toneelhuis is pleased to participate in a new city project by MartHa!tentatief and Zuidpool. De fietsendief, directed by Bart Van Nuffelen and Johan Petit, tells the story of a desperate search for a bicycle. With: Sofie Decleir, dancer Igor Shyshko, Toneelhuis actor Marc van Eeghem and Abigail Abraham.

De fietsendief (The Bicycle Thief), the latest city revue by MartHa!tentatief, is at the same time sketchy and a full evening’s entertainment, pure fiction and yet a chilling reflection of reality, a tragical comedy and a comical tragedy. About Sofie, Marc and Abigail. About you and me. About the evil that dances around in all of our heads. And about the time and place in which we live. Come and see it!

“Scarcity is having less than you feel you need. Whether it’s money or time, it makes no difference. However, scarcity is not just a lack. It’s something that changes your way of thinking.” From Scarcity. Why Having Too Little Means So Much – Sendhil Mullainathan and Eldar Sharif
