flesh can’t can’ t not’t ‘tis flesh h…

Toneelhuis, Mario Barrantes Espinoza, HIROS

A multi-sensorial show by Mario Barrantes Espinoza. A sci-fi world accompanied by the sounds of reggaeton and perreo, the urban dance style. Two flaming bodies lead us through the landscapes of a strange world. An exploratory search for identity and queer history from the perspective of a Middle-American migrant in Europe.
This is the world that Flesh can’t can’  t  not’t ‘tis flesh h… evokes, a multisensorial performance that mixes live music, projected text and sculpture. Two fiery bodies lead us through the landscape of a strange world. They trace out the bittersweet adventures of migration between the Global South and Global North, and a part of queer history in the Central American region.
