Imagine a sci-fi world coloured by the musical genre of reggaeton, the urban dance perreo, a limited grasp of English as the key to participating linguistically in daily life, and Central America’s historical connection with the export of exotic fruits.
This is the world that Flesh can’t can’ t not’t ‘tis flesh h… evokes, a multisensorial performance that mixes live music, projected text and sculpture. Two fiery bodies lead us through the landscape of a strange world. They trace out the bittersweet adventures of migration between the Global South and Global North, and a part of queer history in the Central American region.
